Originally cut by Victims of Pleasure, the track returns as a full-throttle blast of early ’80s UK new wave — cold synths, hard edges, and zero nostalgia. This version also spotlights Essex, the singularly named, swagger-dripping outsider landing somewhere between Duran Duran’s chrome pulse, Billy Idol’s sneer, and Joy Division’s beautiful darkness.

Straight out of Chicago, Essex is a rock ’n’ roll agitator on a mission to drag authenticity back into the spotlight. The wait is over—big things are happening and I can’t keep it to myself any longer.

First up: My brand-new digital stomping ground, Essex.Rocks, is officially live! It’s still growing (kind of like a band in its first few rehearsals), but there’s already enough there to give you a taste of what’s coming.

Now for the real noise: I’ve been locked away in the studio, turning late nights and loud amps into something I’m seriously proud of. A couple of fresh tracks are already spinning on the site, and the first single from my solo album is dropping soon.

Taking time away from STRIPPR wasn’t the end—it was the spark. I’ve been building something new, finding a different side of myself as an artist, and assembling a killer band to bring this vision to life.

And here’s the big, loud announcement: I’ll be opening for none other than the Sunset Strip legends, Faster Pussycat. Yeah, you read that right. This is the real deal, and I can’t wait to tear it up on stage with them.
